Today, I took my lad to an airsoft "open day" at a site I setup years ago (still had to pay mind you!). It was a treat for him for doing well in a science test and it was also a chance for me to get out of the house and give the molle whores a glimpse of some proper kit (big mistake, I'm now utterly knackered! And reminded that I'm nowhere near recovered from my illness yet). I was also reminded exactly why I hate open days so much but the lad had a good day and shot loads of people with my Thompson. My Viva Sten and homemade Enfield racked up lots of kills as well, even against all of the boxmag gayness.

Wouldn't be seen dead there mate (even though I helped build it AND ran the first airsoft games there), the guy who runs it is a total cock! It was Hilton Park, just down the road from me and I know it like the back of my hand, which helps.
Also, I just discovered that my airborne helmet is covered in dinks from repeated minimi hosings. Mind you, that's nothing compared to the neck welt I left on a multicam wearing, systema toting know it all!!

He's just old enough to play there (he's 13, almost 14). I think he enjoyed it a lot more than me. Mind you, it was his first skirmish. He did really well. In fact, I was under Wifeys' orders not to let him out of my sight and to protect him. In reality, he left me behind and got stuck right in!
